Nursing Homes Without Walls River View Manor is a new program serving the District of Carleton North. As of June of 2025 we have over 135 seniors enrolled in our program with many more accessing services for education, social and clinics. In March of 2025 we signed a 5 year contract with Social Development to continue this program in our community.

Our mandate is to promote healthy aging by ensuring older persons and their caregivers have access to appropriate knowledge, supports and services to enable them to age at home or a place of their choosing for as long as they can/want to.

Our Services Include:

•  Check ins by phone/home visits every 4 to 6 weeks
• Assistance in navigating and accessing services to live at home safely and stay healthy
• Connecting seniors to their communities
• Combating isolation by providing opportunities for social activities
• Learning Engagements on various topics related to healthy aging
• Supporting Caregivers in accessing services to ensure they stay well too
• Foot Care Clinics
• Blood Pressure Clinics
• Memory Cafe
• Heat check ins during heat events
