Programs and Services

Our Mission is to provide person centered care, support and quality of life in our community. We believe in a home where everyone feels safe, loved and engaged in the community around them. Our Vision is to be a leader in rural long term care and aging in place.   Our services include medical, nursing, activation, rehabilitation, pastoral care and nutrition and food. We offer programs through our Nursing Home Without Walls program as well as a respite care/relief bed. 

We have an active Volunteer program to support the diverse activation services provided. Residents enjoy a variety of activities including music, current events, exercise, Bible study, bingo, bowling, sewing, picnics, tea parties, garden parties, monthly birthday parties and regular outings on the Manor bus.  We have a beautiful garden patio for Residents and their families to enjoy the many colourful plants and shrubs.

The Department of Social Development sponsors the relief bed program in nursing homes in New Brunswick.  River View Manor Inc. has one bed for this program.  The Relief Care Bed provides a planned period of relief for the care giver.  Families wishing to use this service may contact the Director of Nursing at 278-6030.

River View Manor enjoys strong support from family and friends of our Residents and from the citizens of Northern Carleton County. Local entertainers, children and local clergy visit regularly to add to the lifestyle at the Manor.
